The First Lady of Kebbi State, Hajiya Zainab Nasare-Nasir , has called on wealthy individuals to borrow leaf from a philanthropy Alhaji Tukur Wasoso for his unwavering support to the people of the state especially those with special needs.
Nasare made the call in Jega, in a statement issued by her Press Secretary Khadija Sa’idu
during the distribution of Sallah gifts/clothes to the less privileged.

Represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hajiya Aishatu Muhammad Maikurata, called upon affluent individuals to emulate such benevolence, underscoring the positive impact on the overall well-being of communities and the underprivileged in society.

In his remarks, Alhaji Tukur Wasoso explained that this marked his 21st year of carrying out such gestures every Ramadan for the less the privileged, adding that aside from providing free Sallah clothes, he had also built a charity hospital in Jega aimed at providing free medical services to women and children in the area.

Wasoso also established a skills acquisition center in Aliero town for free training of women and youth with starter packs to enable them become self-reliant.
He also expressed his appreciation to the First Lady for her support to the foundation over the last 3 years and the donation of five million naira to the foundation adding that, approximately 10,000 people would receive free Sallah clothes whose were drown across the state.

In his remarks, the Sarkin Kabi Jega, Alhaji Arzika Bawa Jega, and the Coordinator of the NASARA Foundation, Alhaji Abdurasheed Bala, both commended the Philadelphia for the gesture and called on other individuals to emulate him.
