Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Jigawa State Command, has on Friday inaugurated a newly constructed Divisional Office in Hadejia Local Government Area, marking a significant step toward strengthening grassroots security in the state.
The inauguration was performed on behalf of the Commandant General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, who was represented by the Zonal Commander, Zone 12, Assistant Commandant General Taiwo Abiodun Amos.
In a statement by the CDPRO, NSCDC Jigawa State Command, ASC Badruddeen Tijjani Mahmu, the State Commandant, Muhammad Kabiru Ingawa, alongside senior officers, traditional rulers and other stakeholders, attended the ceremony.
In his address, the Commandant General’s representative said the establishment of the office demonstrates the Corps’ commitment to enhancing operational capacity, improving response time and protecting critical national assets in Hadejia and neighbouring communities.

He noted that the project was made possible through the support and cooperation of the host community and Friends of the Corps, commending community leaders and stakeholders for their moral and material contributions.
State Commandant Muhammad Kabiru Ingawa described the new facility as a symbol of trust and partnership between the Corps and the people of Hadejia.
He stressed that effective security management depends on collaboration, intelligence sharing and mutual respect.
Ingawa assured residents that the divisional office would strengthen intelligence gathering, boost surveillance and enhance proactive efforts to combat vandalism, illegal petroleum dealings and other security threats.
The event featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony, inspection of the facility and goodwill messages from community representatives, who pledged continued support to the Corps.
The Jigawa State Command reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with stakeholders to sustain peace, safety and development across the state.
