The Kebbi State Government has called on residents to accord President Bola Ahmed Tinubu a befitting and rousing welcome during his visit to the state on Saturday, February 14, 2026.
The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Kebbi State Governor, Malam Yahaya Sarki made this known in a statement issued to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital.
According to the statement, President Tinubu will be on a state visit to commission several major, people-oriented projects executed by the administration of Governor Nasir Idris, as well as attend the 61st Argungu International Fishing and Cultural Festival, which opens today.
The Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed, appealed to residents for their cooperation and understanding, urging the people of Kebbi to showcase the state’s renowned hospitality while hosting national and international dignitaries.
According to the statement, the projects to be commissioned by the President include the Bola Ahmed Tinubu State Secretariat Complex, the Birnin Kebbi Central Motor Park, newly constructed township road networks, and the Argungu dual carriageway, among others, before he proceeds to attend activities of the cultural festival.
It added that some roads within Birnin Kebbi metropolis and parts of Argungu would be temporarily closed to facilitate presidential movements in line with security protocols, and
urged citizens to remain law-abiding, peaceful, welcoming, and courteous in order to project a positive image of the state.
