A total of sixty eight thousand one hundred and sixty six candidates that sat for the NECO Senior School Certificate Examination SSCE External have scored five credits and above including English language and Mathematics.

 

Announcing the results in Minna, NECO Registrar and Chief Executive Prof Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi, said the number of candidates that passed the Examination represent seventy one point six three percent.

 

Prof Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi explained that eighty two thousand eighty two candidates representing eighty six point two six percent got five credits and above irrespective of English language and Mathematics.

 

According to him a total of nine thousand and sixteen have been booked for committing various Examination mal practices, as against the six thousand one hundred and sixty candidates in twenty twenty four showing an increase of thirty one point seven percent.

 

He said five supervisors two from FCT one each from Kano, Ondo and Adamawa states were recommended for blacklisting for siding and abetting Examination mal practices.

 

Prof Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi further said four centres two from Niger state one each from Yobe and Kano states found to have been involved in whole centre malpractice were recommended for de-recognition, and commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Minister of Education, Prof Maruf Tunji Alausa for their support, which he said was responsible for all the successes recorded.
