The Governing Council of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Gombe, has approved the dismissal of four senior officers of the college over gross misconduct.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Acting Director of Public Relations and Protocol, Dahiru Gurama, in Gombe.

According to the statement the dismissal followed earlier suspensions which was based on findings and recommendations of a fact-finding committee set up by the Federal Ministry of Education and the Governing Councils investigative committee which indicted the officers on various courts of gross misconduct.

The officers affected include the Registrar, Alh Umar Muhammad, the College Librarian, Yusuf Aliyu, the Director of Works and Services, Muhammad Ibrahim and the Internal member of the Governing Council representing the Non-Teaching Staff Congregation, Ibrahim Shehu.

Meanwhile, the Council has approved the appointment of Mal Haruna Ayuba as, the most senior Deputy Registrar, as Acting Registrar to ensure continuity in the administration of the college.
