The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board (KSPWB) has inaugurated a nine-member Hadaya Committee to coordinate and manage Hadaya for intending pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj exercise.

During the inauguration, the Board’s Director General, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, charged the committee to execute its duties diligently and responsibly to achieve the desired objectives.

He highlighted that Hajj is a compulsory act of worship (Ibadah) for pilgrims performing Tamattu’ and Qiran.

The DG emphasised the importance of proper registration for Hadaya through the committee, describing it as a safe and reliable means for pilgrims to fulfil this religious obligation.

In his remarks, Chairman of the Hadaya Committee, Alhaji Abdullahi Kabir Yusuf, revealed that the group has already begun discussions with two Saudi companies for the procurement of rams at affordable prices.

He also informed pilgrims that those wishing to pay in Nigerian Naira can do so at Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (₦250,000), subject to the prevailing exchange rate of the Saudi Riyal upon arrival in Saudi Arabia.

Other members of the Hadaya Committee include Sheikh Tijjani Sani Maihula, Sheikh Isma’il Ilyasu Mangu, Batulu Isa Waziri, Halima Aliyu, Maryam Abubakar, Habibu Idris Bichi, Salisu Haruna Makoda, and Umar Yakubu Kabara as Secretary.

The Board reassured intending pilgrims of its commitment to ensuring a smooth, transparent, and spiritually fulfilling Hajj experience.
