The Nasarawa State Police Command says it has rescued four abducted children following a discreet and intelligence-led operation.

A statement issued to newsmen in lafia, by Police Public Relation Officer, SP Ramhan Nansel says, the rescue followed a report received last week at new nyanya division, Karu local government area, regarding the mysterious disappearance of the children under suspicious circumstances.

The statement explains that, upon receipt of the report, the command immediately launched a thorough and intelligence investigation into the incident.

It says acting on credible intelligence, the detectives of the command, in collaboration with operatives of the FCT Police Command, swung into action and traced the suspects’ hideout, where the children were safely rescued unhurt.

The statement says preliminary investigations revealed that the children were allegedly abducted by one Abraham Asoje, who conspired with one Joy Bolaje, both of Ado Junction, Karu, Nasarawa State.

The rescued children have since been reunited with their families, while efforts are being intensified to apprehend other fleeing suspects connected to the crime.
