The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke has reminded frontline troops of the overall objective of eradicating banditry in the joint operating area.
He made the statement at a Christmas luncheon with troops of operation fansan yamma sector 3 held in Kainji.

Air Marshal Sunday Aneke noted that the multitude of air interdictions and close air support missions that have originated from the Kainji airfield have made it difficult for bandits and terrorists to operate.
Represented by the Air Officer Commanding Air Training Command, Air Vice Marshal Ahmed Dari, the Air Chief explained that the Air component of operation fansan yamma remains vital to taking the battle to adversaries using technical skills.
On the welfare of troops, the Air Chief assured of his commitment to their well-being whether through continual improvement of their living conditions, provision of modern protective gear, as well as their medical needs.
“We will continue to do our best to ensure that the NAF provides what is required to enable you operate optimally here in Kainji. I want you to stay professional, brave and disciplined”he said.
Air Marshal Sunday Aneke tasked the troops to be on the alert and stay ahead of the adversary in adaptability, intelligence and speed.
“I am very confident that if we maintain the tempo of operations, our nation shall see peace and better security once again, and your commitment to this fight will help us get there”
The representative of the Chief of the Air Staff was also at the palace of Emir of Borgu, where he sought for strong partnership in the areas of community engagement, intelligence sharing, youth empowerment and humanitarian and civic initiatives, aimed at promoting lasting peace and socio-economic development within Borgu Emirate.

He assured the monarch of NAF’s readiness to continue working closely with the emirate to address security concerns, and to support initiatives that foster harmony and progress for the people.
