The National Security Adviser Malam Nuhu Ribadu has officially handed over one hundred rescued pupils of Saint Mary Catholic School Papiri to Governor Mohammed Umar Bago of Niger state.
Presenting the pupils to Governor Bago at the Government House Minna, the National Security Adviser thanked the Federal Government, Security Agencies, Traditional and Religious leaders as well as Niger state Government for their support in making the rescue efforts a huge success.
Represented by Wing Commander Abdullahi Idi Hong, Malam Nuhu Ribadu explained that the Federal Government in collaboration with state governments and critical stakeholder is developing a lasting security solutions to address problems of insecurity in Nigeria.
Receiving the rescued pupils in a joyful mood, Niger state Governor Mohammed Umar Bago commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, security agencies, traditional and religious leaders, CAN, JNI, and others too numerous to mention for their contributions to the success of the rescue mission, insisting that they will not relent.
He however gave an assurance that the remaining abducted pupils in the custody of their abductees will be released soon, to breath the air of freedom.
Mohammed Umar Bago added that the medical health workers will be given the opportunity to check the health status of abducted pupils after which they will be handed over to their parents.
