Political leaders have been urged to support greater inclusion of women in politics and governance at all levels to enable them contribute to nation building.
The state coordinator of Kwara State Female Aspirants Group, Hajiya Zainab Abbas made the call while speaking at the official launch of the group held at the APC secretariat in Ilorin.
According to her the launching of the group will enable them mentor and mobilize women across the 16 local government area of the state.
Hajiya Abbas called for strengthen solidarity among female aspirants to enable them complement government efforts in implementing the Renewed Hope Vision.
In her paper presentation Themed”Women and Our Place In Politics -What It Entails” the guest speaker, Hajiya Hauwa Bashir said politics is about representation, service and decision making in which women are central.
Earlier in her address of welcome, a women leader in Kwara state,Modupe Adejuwon urged women to work as a United team to enable them achieve success.
