Kwara State Police Command has ordered immediate investigation into an incident alleging police officers on duty involvement in an act of extortion on Osi-Eruku road in Ekiti local government area of the State.
In a statement the Police Public Relations officer, SP Adetoun Ejinre-Adeyemi says the command is aware of a video footage circulating on social media alleging that police officers on duty were involved in an act of extortion.
According to it the state Commissioner of Police, has ordered an immediate and thorough investigation into the incident.
It says If the officers involved have been identified and found guilty, appropriate disciplinary action will be taken.
The statement maintains that the Command remains committed to upholding professionalism, integrity, and accountability in all its operations.END
