Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Zamfara State, Kabiru Garba

The Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Zamfara State, Kabiru Garba, has declared that, the party is fully united, crisis-free, and strategically positioned to take over power both at the state and national levels in the 2027 general elections.

Speaking with journalists in Gusau, the state capital, Garba said while the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) continue to battle internal divisions, the ADC has remained stable, focused, and committed to providing credible leadership to Nigerians.

According to him, the ADC is not just a political party but a movement for genuine change.

“We are the African Democratic Congress, but some call us New Party Movement, a symbol of new beginnings and peace. We have been around for years, building structures and mobilizing people to understand our manifesto and our vision,” Garba said.

Kabiru Garba explained that, beyond politics, the ADC is deeply involved in humanitarian and social development activities, particularly through a platform called “D&I”, which supports out-of-school children, orphans, and hospital patients.

“We engage in grassroots mobilization, visit orphanages and hospitals, and provide free first-aid services. We also celebrate international events like Handshake Day and other UN-recognized days to promote unity and compassion,”

Garba noted that, the ADC’s structures remain solid and functional, adding that internal crises in other political parties are clear signs of their weakening influence ahead of the 2027 elections.

“The APC and PDP are in crisis because they know they cannot return to power in 2027. Many of their members are already moving to ADC. Even today, I am expecting some defectors from both parties to join us,” he alleged

The ADC chairman further revealed that several government officials are secretly working with the ADC in Zamfara and across the country.

“We have commissioners, permanent secretaries, local government chairmen, and even House of Assembly members who are with us. We told them to continue their work in government for now until the right time to openly move to the ADC. We communicate daily, and by December, the political story in Zamfara will change,” Garba said confidently.

Responding to reports of internal challenges within the Zamfara ADC, Garba dismissed them as false and politically motivated.

“We have no leadership crisis in the ADC. The party is one family. The only issue we had was when some new defectors tried to hijack the party, but I called them to order in a language they understood. That’s why some of them left for other parties. Today, ADC is united and stronger than ever,” he explained.

On governance in Zamfara, Kabiru Garba, however, expressed disappointment with the current Zamfara State administration.

“I am not satisfied with how Zamfara is being governed. We don’t want a governor who moves from America to China and from China to England. We want him to stay in Zamfara and address our problems, especially insecurity,” he alleged

He lamented the security situation across the state, citing the inability of residents to travel safely at night due to fear of bandit attacks.

“By 7 or 8 p.m., you cannot travel between Gusau, Bungudu, or Tsafe. In some parts of Zurmi and Tsafe because of fear of bandits attack”

Reacting to claims that the governor’s frequent foreign trips were meant to attract investors, the ADC chairman dismissed the assertion, alleging that the trips were for personal business interests.

He urged the state government to utilize the state resources transparently for the benefit of citizens, especially in tackling insecurity, rebuilding education, and improving healthcare.

“The money is there; what we need is responsible governance. Let him stop traveling and do the needful. We want him to come back home and serve the people,” Garba emphasized.

The Zamfara ADC chairman reaffirmed the party’s readiness to offer a credible alternative to the ruling elite, promising inclusive governance and people-oriented leadership if given the opportunity in 2027.

“We are ready to take over by 2027, God willing. The ADC stands for transparency, unity, and service to humanity. We are the future of Zamfara and Nigeria,” Garba said.
