Vice President Kashim Shettima is expected in Katsina State next Tuesday to inaugurate a township road project and launch the ninth Expanded National MSME Clinic which will be hosted by the state government.
Similarly, the Vice President will unveil the Katsina State Sustainable Platform for Agriculture which will harness digital technology for agricultural value chain development.
At a joint press briefing held at the Government House in Katsina, the State Commissioner of
Works, Alhaji Sani Magaji Ingawa, explained that the road slated for inauguration is a 3-kilometre dual carriage way constructed at the cost of N1.9 billion.
He said the project is part of the state government’s Urban Renewal Program which entails expanding township roads, installing solar-powered street lights and overhauling public infrastructure in key urban centers across the state.
The Commissioner of Agriculture Professor Ahmad Bakori and the Director-General of the state’s Enterprise Development Agency, Hajia Aisha Aminu Malumfashi, took turns to present details of the programs to which their MDAs will host the Vice President during the visit.
The state Commissioner of Information, Dr. Bala Salis Zango, said the projects and initiatives to be launched by the Vice President during the visit demonstrate the Dikko Radda administration’s commitment to impactful and purpose-driven leadership.
