Sokoto Community has appealed to the FG to intensify efforts towards speedy completion of Illala-Badagry Super highway.
The appeal was made at a town hall meeting organised by the Federal Ministry of Information and Orientation to sensitize Nigerians on the mid-term achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration, held in the state.
In another appeal, the president , Chamber of Commerce Sokoto State, Alh.Sani Mai tawul, who acknowledged a series of notable achievements, drew the attention of the FG on the incessant security challenges that had shortchanged the socio-security and economic development of the Northwest zone.
Mai tawul argued that the apparent achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu can not be disputed in Sokoto State.
He cited that the infrastructural and agricultural as well as intervention programs related Renewed hope agenda are clear testimonies dividends of democracy enjoyed by Sokoto Community.
While conveying the speech of the Minister of Information and National Orientation Alh. Mohammed Idris ,the acting head of Federal Information Centre Sokoto, Alh. Abubakar Abdulkadir identified the various achievements recorded in most sectors of development ranging from infrastructure, agriculture, and education to intervention programs provided by the Present administration.
Alh. Abubakar Abdulkadir explained that part of the sensitization campaign was to listen to the plight of people in Sokoto State with a view to informing the FG for effective service delivery
Radio Nigeria in Sokoto reports that the town hall meeting was attended by traditional leaders, concerns government agencies, Sokoto State government officials, and members of the public .
