As part of efforts to sustain peace and stability in the North West and parts of the North Central, the Theatre Commander, Operation Fansan Yamma, Major General Oluyinka Soyele, has donated 200 bags of fertilizer to farmers in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
In a statement by the Media Information Officer of the operation, Captain David Adewusi, said the donation was aimed at boosting farmers’ yield and improving the livelihood of communities within the theatre.

Represented by the Theatre Logistics Component Commander, Brigadier General Nkemakolam Mbaka, General Soyele handed over the fertilizer to the Emir of Tsafe, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Bawa, as part of the Defence Headquarters’ civil-military cooperation initiatives.
General Soyele explained that the non-kinetic initiative was to promote agricultural development, strengthen civil-military relations, and encourage farmers to return to their farms amidst ongoing operations to secure farming communities.
The Theatre Commander also appreciated the Emir of Tsafe, the government, and people of Zamfara State for their support in the fight against terrorism and banditry.

He urged the farmers to make the best use of the fertilizer to ensure improved harvests.
In his remarks, the Emir of Tsafe, Alhaji Abubakar Muhammad Bawa, thanked the Theatre Commander for what he described as a timely intervention.
He said the gesture would enhance food production and improve the livelihood of farmers, while assuring continued support to the troops.

The event was attended by community leaders, representatives of the Tsafe Local Government Chairman, and members of the host community who commended the initiative.
