The Executive Chairman of Birnin Kudu Local Government, Bldr. Dr. Muhammad Uba, has reaffirmed his commitment to education and healthcare by personally attending the screening exercise for the B.Teach and B.Health programs.

The move followed concerns over the selection process, prompting steps to ensure transparency and fairness.

The council has resolved to replace individuals wrongly appointed to other programs with qualified candidates for the B.Teach and B.Health schemes, while also removing applicants with fake results.

A statement by the New Media Aide to Hon. Bldr. Dr. Muhammad Uba, Adamu Rabiu Fulani, says the initiative aims to uphold merit and credibility in the process.

Bldr. Dr. Uba is the first council chairman in the state to adopt such a model, attracting interest from other local governments.

His administration has already employed over 600 graduates, in line with Governor Malam Umar Namadi’s 12-point agenda to reduce unemployment and empower youths.

By focusing on genuine and qualified candidates, the chairman hopes to raise the standards of education and healthcare while fostering transparency and accountability in governance.

The screening was attended by members of his technical committee, special advisers, and representatives from the Birnin Kudu Development Association, demonstrating wide community participation.

In further support of youth engagement, Dr. Uba later attended an ongoing football competition at the Birnin Kudu Township Stadium, organized by Sarkin Dawaki Alhaji Ibrahim Isyaku, to promote sports and unity in the area.

He noted that combining support for sports, education, and healthcare is key to youth development, social cohesion, and community progress.

His leadership and initiatives in these sectors have been described as inspiring, with expectations that they will deliver lasting benefits to the people of Birnin Kudu.
