Zamfara State Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba, has decorated 390 officers recently elevated to various ranks within the Command.
The decoration ceremony was held at the Police Command Headquarters in Gusau, the state capital.

According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Yazid Abubakar, the Commissioner of Police congratulated the newly promoted officers and charged them to justify their new ranks through renewed commitment, discipline, and professionalism in the discharge of their duties.
He emphasized the need for the officers to rededicate themselves to effective policing and service delivery to the people of Zamfara State and Nigeria at large.

Among those decorated were CSP Sani Kabiru and CSP Usman M. Nassarawa, both promoted to the prestigious rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).
“In the Inspectorate Cadre, 30 officers were promoted from Inspector to Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP II),” the Commissioner stated.
He further disclosed that 242 Sergeants were elevated to the rank of Inspector, while 116 Corporals were promoted to the rank of Sergeant.

Speaking on behalf of all the promoted officers, ACP Usman M. Nassarawa expressed deep appreciation to the Inspector General of Police and the Police Service Commission for the confidence reposed in them.
He pledged that the newly promoted officers would uphold the core values of the Nigeria Police Force, including integrity, commitment, professionalism, and community trust, in their service to the nation.
