Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum and Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, has disclosed that the APC Governors Forum held a strategic meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the State House, Abuja.

‎Speaking to State House correspondents shortly after the meeting, Governor Uzodimma described it as a “convenient discussion” with the President aimed at strengthening the party and enhancing its capacity to deliver good governance to Nigerians.

He explained that, as a sub-national government body, the third tier after the national level, the governors met to align with the President on party matters and governance priorities.

When asked whether any major decisions or contests are expected during the APC National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting scheduled for tomorrow, the governor said, “We cannot say what will happen until we get there tomorrow.”

‎The NEC meeting is expected to deliberate on key issues affecting the party and chart a path forward for its continued unity and effectiveness tomorrow.
