The Emir of Zazzau, Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, has extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, describing his passing as a profound national loss.

In a statement issued on behalf of the Zazzau Emirate and the people of the region, the Emir paid tribute to the late President, whom he described as an elder statesman, a courageous Army General, and a leader of integrity.

“President Buhari’s life was a testament to resilience, service, and commitment to the unity and progress of Nigeria. His legacy as a tested democrat and steadfast leader will be remembered for generations,” the statement read.

The Emir noted that the late President’s contributions to national development, both in military service and as a civilian leader, have left an indelible mark in Nigeria’s history.

“As his home state, Kaduna deeply mourns this great loss. We will continue to honor his memory by upholding the values he stood for—integrity, peace, and progress.”

He further extended sympathy to the bereaved family, the Daura Emirate, Katsina State, and the entire nation, emphasizing that the Zazzau Emirate stands in solidarity with them during this moment of grief.

“May the Almighty Allah grant him eternal rest and give his family the strength and comfort to bear this loss,” the Emir prayed.
