Speaking at the turbaning ceremony of Alhaji Aliyu Dauda as the first Sardaunan of Nigeria, held at Yankari, Bauchi State, the National Chairman of the Chiefdom, Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna, highlighted the enduring significance of traditional leadership in national development.
According to Haruna, traditional institutions not only provide fatherly guidance to their communities but also make vital contributions to Nigeria’s socio-economic growth. He noted that Alhaji Aliyu Dauda’s consistent support for traditional institutions, particularly in Northern Nigeria, was a key factor in his selection for the prestigious title.
