The Kano State Police Command has arrested a 20-year-old boy Umar Auwal, also known as ‘Abba Dujal’,who is said to Have confessed to multiple violent crimes in Kano and Jigawa states.
The Public relations officer SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa stated this in a statement made available to journalist in Kano.
This development follows sustained clearance raid operations conducted by the Command to rid the state of criminal elements.
Umar Auwal confessed to Stabbing a person to death at Sabon Gari Quarters, Kano, and stealing his Infinix Hot 40i mobile phone, which he sold for N40,000.
He aslo confessed to Stabbing another person to death at Kurna Quarters, Kano, and stealing his Samsung S26 phone, which he sold for N160,000.
The suspect also Confessed to Killing a man in Ringim LGA, Jigawa State, and stealing his motorcycle, which he sold for N300,000.
The statement further explained that the suspect is currently in custody at the Command’s Homicide Section, Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for detailed investigation.
Commissioner of Police, CP Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, PhD, appreciates Umar’s decision to surrender and urges others involved in similar crimes to follow suit.
