The Jama’atu Izalatul Bid’ah Wa Iqamatis Sunnah JIBWIS with headquarters in Jos Plateau State, says it will continue to intensify efforts in the propagation of the teachings of Qur’an and Sunnah inline with the tradition of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) for the overall development of Islam and society.
This is with a view to inculcate moral values and sound Islamic knowledge for the good of all.
National Chairman Council of Ulama JIBWIS Ash Sheikh Muhammad Sani Yahaya Jingir, stated this in a message to the closing of the 2025 Ramadan tafsir held at the vicinity of Malam Ladan house, Emir’s Palace road, Minna, Niger state.
Represented by the JIBWIS Chairman Youth Committee Kebbi state, Sheikh Abdulsalam Abubakar Jega, the National Chairman explained that part of the reason for the setting up of JIBWIS is to ensure that leaders at all levels treat their subjects equally by discharging their duties in a free fair and just atmosphere to achieve maximum results.
Ash Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir further said it was also to ensure that both women and youths including parents seek for Islamic religious knowledge to enable them know Allah properly before worshipping him.
While appreciating the Muslim Ummah for contributing three million naira for the upkeep of some orphans and other aspects in the area expressed the hope that they will continue to do more to achieve the desired objective.
In his remarks the Emir of Minna Dr Umar Faruk Bahago represented by Suleiman Yahaya Babangida, commended JIBWIS for staging a peaceful Tafsir for over 35 years in the state and called for collective prayers for peace progress and stability of Niger state and Nigeria as well as that for an end to banditry.
The Chairman Tafsir Committee, Alh Ibrahim Dumus commended those that have contributed morally and financially to the success of the annual tafsir while the Chairman Organizing Committee, Alh Haruna Musa maintained that the Tafsir which started in Minna, Niger state thirty seven years ago has yielded positive results.
Also speaking former Niger state Commissioner of Health, Dr Mustapha Jibril Alheri who initiated the seven A’s agenda in Hausa of Amana, Adalci Alkawari, and Alheri among others as solutions to the current political problems also advised leaders at all levels to discharge their duties with the fear of Allah to succeed.
