The Confederation of Traditional Stock Breeders Organization (CORET) has presented thirteen certificates of registration to leaders of dairy cooperatives at Ladugga, in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The certificates were presented by the Project Coordinator of CORET, Dr. Umar Hardo, at the conclusion of a two-day capacity-building workshop organized for selected cooperative leaders and youths in the region.
The two-day workshop, organized by CORET in collaboration with the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and supported by the Swiss Development Cooperation, was implemented by members of a consortium including the National Commission for Nomadic Education among others.
The Project Coordinator of CORET, Dr. Umar Hardo said CORET is expected to have well educated members of the diary youths cooperatives clusters both in Ladugga in Kaduna and Maigatari in Jigawa states.

He said CORET also is expected to see an improvement in the management of the cooperatives societies among the youths in two states.
He noted that the training is part of a pilot project expected to create over 3,000 jobs for youths within the milk value chain across grazing reserves in Ladugga, Kaduna State, and Maigatari, Jigawa State.
A resource person at the workshop and former Director of Community Development and Cooperative Societies in Kaduna State, Mr. Yohanna Kabirat said the training is designed to equip participants with deeper knowledge in cooperative management to improve dairy and livestock production.
