The Rotary Club of Kaduna Metropolitan has appealed to well-meaning individuals and organizations in Kaduna State to continue supporting persons with disabilities in the society in order to realize their full potential.
President of the Club, Rotarian Isiaka Anthony, made the appeal during a visit to the Kaduna State Special Education School, where he led other members to donate various items to the students.

The Kaduna State Special Education School, a government-owned day and boarding institution established in 1979, currently has over one thousand students, ranging from nursery to secondary level.
The school provides specialized education for students with visual impairments and hearing challenges.
President of the Rotary Club of Kaduna Metropolitan, Rotarian Isiaka Anthony, emphasized the importance of supporting the less privileged, especially persons with disabilities, as part of the Club’s humanitarian activities.
According to the Rotarian Isiyaka the gestures was part of the plans his precessor handed over to him in his handing over notes.
He maintained that leadership is continuity he deemed it feat to continue the plans left over for him.
The Rotarian said they have collaborations from various organizations such as micro manna, honorary members among others.
He stressed that nothing is too small to give and support lives of the less privileged, particularly to those living with disabilities.
Rotarian Isiaka Anthony assured that if the donated items are properly utilized, the school will continue to receive more support from the Club in future.

In a remark, Assistant Zonal Coordinator of the Club, Rotarian Victor Majekodunmi, stated that the students should not be considered disadvantaged, but rather as future leaders and advocates the need for collaborative efforts to complement the government’s support.
In an addressed, the President-elect of the Club, Rotarian Lukeman Babatunde, pledged to sustain the Rotary Club’s commitment to reaching out to vulnerable groups in the society.
Commenting, Rotarian Iliyasu Yusuf who chaired the visit explained that the happiness on the faces of the students while receiving their donations gives them satisfaction and joy as a charity club.
He noted that as part of their humanitarian services, the club is looking out to do more educational and health projects, as well as provision of water and electricity to communities in the state.
Responding, the Principal of the school, Mallam Musa Sai’du, commended the Rotary Club of Kaduna Metropolitan for the gesture, noting that the school benefited significantly from the Club’s consistent support.
Mallam Musa further acknowledged that the support from both government and non-governmental organizations has played a vital role in improving the welfare and educational experience of the students.

Items donated during the visit includes textbooks, exercise books, stationery, toiletries, medicines, as well as cleaning tools like cutlasses and brooms, among others.
