Vice Chancellor of Federal University Dutse, Jigawa State, Professor Abdulkarim Sabo Muhammed, has approved the appointment of Malam Abdullahi Yahaya Bello as the pioneer Acting Director of Public Affairs of the university, effective March 1, 2025.
This was contained in a statement issued to newsmen in Dutse by the university’s registrar, Alhaji Abubakar Mijinyawa.
The statement congratulated the appointee and prayed to Allah to grant him success in discharging his new responsibilities.
Malam Abdullahi Yahaya Bello single-handedly established the Information and Public Relations Unit of the University in 2012 as the Pioneer University Public Relations Officer.
The statement further explained that, he rose through the ranks to become the Pioneer Deputy Director of the Information and Public Relations Unit in 2023 before his current appointment as the Pioneer Ag, Director, Directorate of Public Affairs, Federal University Dutse.
“He has attended many Media and Public Relations Trainings, Conferences and Workshops. He is an Associate member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Member, Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ), Member, Association of Nigerian University Professional Administrators (ANUPA) and Member, Institute of Registered Administrative Managers of Nigeria (IRAMN)”.
