NAHCON Commends Jigawa On Preparedness Ahead Of Hajj

The Director General of the Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo has received the team of inspectors from National Hajj Commission of Nigeria-NAHCON on the spot assessment of its facilities.

In her address, the leader of the Delegation and Coordinating officer for Jigawa state at the commission, Hajiya Rabi’atu Dahiru Nyako explained that the aim of the visit was to make on the spot assessment, confirm as well as ascertain all the state Pilgrims board facilities among others.

Rabi’atu Nyako noted that, the team would assess equipment, the preparation of the airlift of the state intending pilgrims, travel documents, passports and Hajj camp facilities.

The Coordinating Officer expressed satisfaction with the level of preparedness by the board.

Also speaking, the Director General of the Jigawa state pilgrims welfare board , Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo pointed out that, the numerous successes have been recorded so far on the preparedness for the 2024 hajj exercise in the state.

The DG added that, the board has extended more days for the hajj orientation lectures to the intending pilgrims across the twenty seven local government areas of the state.

He reiterated the commitment of the state government in ensuring the welfare of the Jigawa state intending pilgrims both in Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.

Labbo commended NAHCON for the continued support and cooperation given to the board on activities for the success of this year’s exercise.

Radio Nigeria reports that, the team inspected ICT unit, the on going and renovated renovated structures, offices, departments as well as other modern facilities of the board.
