Hajj 2024: KBSG Inaugurates Preparation Committee

The Kebbi State Government has inaugurated an 18- member committee to prepare the ground for the National inaugural flight of Nigerian Pilgrims to the 2024 Hajj in Saudi Arabia.

Speaking at the ceremony in Birnin Kebbi, Chairman of the Committee and Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Yakubu Bala, thanked the government for giving them the opportunity to serve their fatherland and humanity.

The SSG, represented by a member of the Committee, member representing Danko-Wasagu East in the State House of Assembly, Alhaji Muhammad Garba- Bena, urged all the members to be steadfast in ensuring the success of the inaugural flight.

According to him, the Federal Government has made Kebbi State a big platform for the Hajj exercise this year, therefore they must join hands together to work in earnest to do their best to uphold the confidence reposed on the state by federal authorities.

He urged the publicity sub- committee to ensure proper coverage of the inaugural flight saying, we must be seen and heard throughout the nation.

He directed that, the Chairman of the Publicity sub- committee to arrange for live coverage, while the security sub committee must ensure everything is well secured from beginning to end.

Earlier, the Executive Chairman, Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Alhaji Faruq Aliyu-Enabo, thanked the governor for providing moral and material support to the committee for the success of the inaugural flight.

The National Hajj Commission (NAHCON), has designated Sir Ahmadu Bello International Airport, Birnin Kebbi, for the commencement of the airlift of pilgrims to the Holy Land scheduled for the 15th May, 2024.
