The Federal Ministry of Youth Development has urged Corps members to believe in themselves by prioritizing self- discovering and self- development.
The Minister of Youth Development, Honourable Olawande Ayodele made this call during his visit to the on-going NYSC Orientation Course of the Twenty twenty – four Batch A Stream Two held at the temporary camp in Kaduna.
The Minister said determination, commitment and confidence in one’s self would enable them achieve their goals in life.
While commending the NYSC Scheme for its role in fostering national unity, the Minister, in collaboration with Wema Bank introduced a program on the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) training.
To further re-invigorate the potential skills of Corps members, Honourable Ayodele said he would help by giving a start up capital to the best Corps member trained in each Skill set.
In addition, the Minister ended his visit with a donation of one million naira and an extra cow for Corps members.
The State Coordinator, Mr. Hassan Mahmud Taura briefed the Minister on the camp situation and appreciated his kind gesture towards the scheme.
