Public Relations Officer NSCDC, Jigawa State Command CSC Adamu Shehu

The Jigawa State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC has secured conviction for four Vandals before Justice Hassan Dikko of Dutse Division of the Federal high Court on 2 counts charges of Criminal Conspiracy and Tampering with Electric plants.

In a statement to newsmen in Dutse by the Public Relations officer of the command CSC Adamu Shehu says, the convicts include Rabi’u Alto, Haruna Mustapha, Yahaya Rabi’u and Ibrahim Isah.

According to him, the convicts were jailed after pleading guilty to the 2 counts charge and in view of their plea, the lead prosecutor Abdulkadir Lurwanu Fanini of the NSCDC prayed the Court to convict and sentence them accordingly.

CSC Adamu Shehu said, justice Dikko thereafter, convicted and sentenced them to one and half year or to pay a fine of 50,000 for the first count and 2 years or to pay a fine of 60,000 for the second count. 

He explained that, justice Dikko equally ordered the convicts to fix the vandalized cable at the area where it was removed under the supervision of the village head of the area and the NSCDC. 

The PRO added that, the convicts journey to the Correctional Centre began when they were arrested by operatives of the NSCDC Command at Babura town of Jigawa State on acts, vandalizing 70 meter electric cable that was planted at Titin Tanda, Akula Quarters.
