Collation of results for the Governorship and House of Assembly elections in Zamfara State by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC is in progress.
The State Collation officer and Vice Chancellor Federal University Birnin Kebbi, Professor Kasimu Shehu accepted the results at INEC headquarters, Gusau, the Zamfara State Capital.
The exercise started late in the evening of Sunday, 19th March,2023 and with this development results of five local government councils have so far been collated out of fourteen local government areas of the state.
Professor Kasimu who earlier took a break till 8:45 pm decided to continue with the remaining 11 local government areas tomorrow Monday, 20th Mach, 2023 at 10:00am
The local governments so far collated are Anka, Bungudu,Bukuyum, Gummi and Zurmi local government councils.
