Federal Executive Council, FEC, has approved a 117 billion Naira contract for the construction of the Oloibiri Oil Museum and Research Center.

The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Mr. Timipre Sylva, told State House correspondents that the contract would be delivered in 30 months.

He said the project, which was initiated in early 80s by the Shagari Administration and afterwards abandoned, would be one of the major legacies of President Buhari in the Niger Delta.

Also briefing newsmen, the Minister of Aviation, Alhaji Hadi Sirika, said FEC had approved an over 700 million Naira contract for technical support and maintenance of the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport.

The Minister, who said the duration of the contract was 12 months, explained that Nigeria was at the 5th stage of the AOC Insurance by the NCAA, and that the aircraft will be ready to start to fly after obtaining the insurance.
