The National Population Commission (NPC) Federal  Commissioner in Kwara State, Alhaji Rasaq Gidado says the outcome of the 2023 population and housing census will bring good things for the country.

Alhaji Gidado stated this while addressing participants at the ongoing training programme for facilitators at the Kwara state college of education, Ilorin.

According to him, this year’s census exercise would be technology driven, and the commission adopts the Computer -Assisted Personal Interview (CAPI) data collection method which has largely reduced the use of paper forms.

Alhaji Gidado urged the residents of the state to cooperate with the census officials by giving them all necessary support in terms of information required from them.

He noted that it was through population and housing census that the issue of social and economic development was determined.

Alhaji Gidado explained that the commission would give all necessary  support to the census personnel to enable them to discharge their duties as expected.

He commended participants at the ten days training workshop for their commitment towards ensuring the success of the exercise.
