Thousands of people and over 15 Emirs are among the dignitaries attended the funeral prayer of Late Emir of Dutse Dr Nuhu Muhammadu Sanusi.

Radio Nigeria reports that, the Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari, Garba Shehu led presidential delegation to attend the funeral prayers of the late Emir.

The Chief Imam of Dutse central mosque Dr. Abubakar Sani Birnin kudu performed the funeral prayers at the Eid ground in Dutse, the jigawa state capital.

Some of the Emirs that attended the funeral prayers include Abubakar Sa’ad, the Sultan of Sokoto, Shehu of Borno, Emirs of Kano, Hadejia, Gumel, Kazaure, Ningi, Bichi, Karaye, Gaya and Rano.

Other dignitaries who also attended the funeral prayers include Governor Badaru Abubakar and his Deputy Mallam Umar Namadi, Forner Borno state Governor Kashim Shettima, former Jigawa State Governor Sule Lamido Atiku Abubakar, Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of sokoto state and Dr Bukola Saraki.

Similarly, Former Vice Presidents Atiku Abubakar and Namadi Sambo,  Former Bauchi state Governor Mohammed Abubakar. 

Radio Nigeria reports that the Late Emir of Dutse died yesterday at the age of 78 in Abuja after a brief illness, and was laid to rest in Kargo, Dutse central cemetery.

Late Dr Nuhu Muhammadu Sanusi is survived by two wives, 13 children and many grand children.
