Evangelical Church Winning All -ECWA, Kaduna East District Church Council has rounded up its week long consecration exercise to usher in the new year.
In his sermon at the prayer sessions, the keynote speaker Professor Bitrus Sarman tasked the government to value the lives of citizens and show compassion on them.
He called on government and church leaders to prioritize the well-being of its followers and congregation and eschew all all forms of greed divisiveness.
The speaker stressed that consecration is pivotal and inevitable if families, church and the nation must prevail over its challenges.
Professor Bitrus Sarman who also doubles as the Provost , ECWA Seminary Kagoro said those in the helms of affair must lead in a humane way to optimize their leadership skills to enable others perform optimally as well .
The clergyman charged believers to shun every evil act and keep the fire of the consecration burning by following the pattern of the Lord Jesus Christ, adding that obedience to Christ should be the priority of every believer.
Chairman , ECWA Kaduna East DCC Reverend Dauda Kure in his address described the importance of the consecration week as fundamental and important in the lives of believers ,especially to express gratitude for God’s preservation and protection in the past year in view of the various challenges that faced the people.
Also speaking , Secretary of the DCC , Reverend Bagu Maza appealed to the congregation to pray fervently for the success of the forthcoming general elections and to obtain their permanent voters cards before the deadline .
He said it was the responsibility of believers to rise to the occasion and vote credible leaders who have the fear of God to ensure justice, equity and fairness.
