The Independent National Electoral Commisssion (INEC) has commenced the distribution of
Permanent Voter Cards, (PVCs ) across the one hundred and ninety-three wards in the sixteen Local government areas of Kwara State.

When Radio Nigeria Correspondent visited some distribution area in ilorin metropolis and environs ,there was larges turnout of registered voters .

One of the registered voters Busari Olajide expressed satisfaction with the new arrangement.

He said most of them would be able to exercise their franchise in the coming elections.

Olajide advised others who are yet to collect their PVCs to do so and ensure they also participate in voting on election days.

Another registered voters Mohammed Salami urged INEC to increase the number of staff in areas with multiple polling units to ease PVCs collection.

The PVCs collection at the ward level is expected to run every day of the week, including Saturdays and Sundays, till 15th of January this year.
