The Inspector General of Police IGP Usman Alkali Baba says the ten thousand newly recruited police constables that have passed out will be deployed to their various locality for effective community policing in Nigeria.

He stated this at the passing out psrade of four hundred and fifty five police constables in Minna the Niger state capital.

Represented by the Asistant Inspector General of Police Zone 7 Headquarters Abuja Mr Koyode Egbetokun the IGP said the constables have undergone six months training on legal and professional studies towards promoting professionalism in service.

Niger State Goveror Alh Abubakar Sani Bello who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government Ahmed Ibrahim Matane applauded the Inspector General of Police for according priority to the training and retraining of officers and men of police force for maximum results.

Of the four hundred and fifty five constables that have passed out three hundred and sixty nine were from Niger state while eighty six are from the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.

Among dignatories at the event are Commissioner of Police In Charge of Niger state Mr Ogundele Ayodeji Head’s of Security Agencies members of Niger state House of Assembly and Senior Officers of the Command among others.

He later paid homage to the Emir of Minna Alh Umar Faruk Bahago in his palace before departing for Abuja.
