The Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council has affirmed Dr Doyin Okupe as its Director General.
Chief Spokesman of the Council, Dr Yunusa Tanko stated this while briefing newsmen in Kaduna.
Dr Yunusa Tanko described rumours making the rounds that Dr Okupe has been fired as the DG as baseless and unfounded.
He described the rumour as the handiwork of mischief makers who are sponsored to cause unnecessary distraction from within and outside the party.
On alleged financial misappropriation levelled against the DG, Dr Tanko debunked the allegation stressing that Dr Okupe had ensured judicious mobilization of campaign funds where necessary.
Dr Yunusa Tanko also affirmed Alhaji Ali Tafoki as the authentic State Chairman of Labour Party in Kaduna State.
He called on the party’s supporters to remain firm, resolute, vigilant and security concious in all their engagements.
