Kano State Fire Service says it saved twenty four persons and properties worth over forty million naira from fire incidents in October.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the service, PFS Saminu Abdullahi, and made available to Radio Nigeria in Kano.

According to him, fifteen people lost their lives while properties worth over twenty million naire were estimated to have been destroyed by fire during the period under review.

Saminu explained that, the service responded to thirty two rescue calls and , six false alarms from residents of the state.

The public relations officer urged the public to handle fire with care to prevent outbreaks , and also cautioned motorists to abide by the traffic laws to avoid road crashes.
