According to him, the draft framework which is already updated and submitted to the federal government after critical review by stakeholders in April 2022, was optimistic about quick legislative action and executive order on the draft.

Mr Wilson Ikwebe commended the efforts of some state governments who have already activated commitment to the implementation of social protection policy, like Yobe and Borno, hoping that other state governments would also come onboard.

He further explained that,  the capacity building organized for journalists and members of civil society organizations were designed to stimulate strategic campaign on social accountability.

He pointed out that, participants are being equipped with the requisite approach, including dialogue, negotiation, and influencing concerned authorities to implement social protection policy.

Wilson therefore urged the participants to expedite action in enlightening the public so that they will know their constitutional rights and demand social accountability from their representatives at various political offices.

Radio Nigeria reports that, the three day workshop attracted participants from the media and CSOs from Kano State.
