Out of the over one million, one hundred and ninety eight thousand candidates that sat for the National Examinations Council-NECO internal this year, seven hundred and twenty seven thousand eight hundred and sixty four of them have made five credits and above including English language and Mathematics.

The figure represent sixty point seven four percent.

NECO Registrar and Chief Executive Professor Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi stated this while announcing the results at NECO headquarters in Minna Niger state.

Prof Mohammed Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi explained that when compared to twenty twenty one Senior Secondary Certificate of Education SSCE Internal figures of eight hundred and seventy eight thousand nine hundred and twenty five there is a decrease of ten point ni e percent.

According to him, number of candidates who made credit and above in English language is eight hundred and eighty nine thousand, one hundred and eighty eight representing seventy four point eight nine percent.

Prof Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi further said thirteen thousand, five hundred and ninety four candidates representing zero point one three percent have been involved in examination mal practices.

He however said twenty nine supervisors were blacklisted for various offences ranging from poor supervision insult aiding and abetting during the examination.

Prof Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi added that four schools were recommended for derecognition for two years due to their involvement in cheating during the examination.
