The Etsu Nupe and Chairman Niger state Council of Traditional Rulers Alh Yahaya Abubakar has been described as a gift from God to mankind whose style of leadership has impacted positively to the growth and development of the lives of his subjects and beyond.   

Niger state Governor Alh Abubakar Sani Bello said this in a statement in Minna by his Chief Press Secretary Mrs Mary Noel Berje to felicitate with the monarch on his seventieth birthday and nineteenth anniversary on throne.

Alh Abubakar Sani Bello also  described the Etsu Nupe Alh Yahaya Abubakar as a courageous bridge builder and peaceful leader that has contributed immensely to the unity peaceful co existence and the development of Niger state and Nigeria.

According to him the fatherly role of Etsu Nupe whose inspiring counsel has no doubt brought government and non governmental organisations on track especially as it affect decision making policy formulation and promotion of cultural values of Nupe speaking extraction in Nigeria.

Similarly Niger state Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ had a statement signed by Council Chairman Comrade Abu Nmodu and Secretary Comrade Usman Chiji expressed satisfaction that the Etsu Nupe was able to place Nupe land in the comity of recognised and respected languages in the world.

Comrade Abu Nmodu also appreciated Alh Yahaya Abubakar for his confidence on members of NUJ by honouring them traditional titles thereby given them a of belonging.

They however described the Etsu Nupe as a father peace lover media friendly an emancipator of down trodden traditional ruler as well as voice of the voiceless in the society.
