Lack of proper understanding of the nation’s history has been identified as the factor responsible for religious and ethnicity crisis in the country.
Director, Arewa House Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Dr Shuaibu Shehu Aliyu stated this at a news conference in Kaduna.
He said British colonial masters have through the Richard Constitution divide the country into various regions to achieve selfish interest.
Shuaibu Aliyu maintained that people use regionalism to divide the country for the achievement of their selfish interest.
The Director said a conference will soon be arranged to enlighten Nigerians on the history of regionalism and also the need to embrace Nigeria as a single entity for national development
