2023 Election: IPAC Seeks Collaboration With Stakeholders

The Inter-Party Advisory Council, IPAC, says it will collaborate with all relevant stakeholders to guarantee a successful conduct of free, fair and credible elections in 2023.

The National Chairman of the Council, Alhaji Yabagi Sani stated this while hosting officials of the Council of the Wise of the Savannah Centre for Diplomacy and Democracy and Development at the IPAC headquarters in Abuja.

Alhaji Yabaji said active cooperation and commitment of all stakeholders is curial for the success of next year’s election.

The National Chairman explained that the insecurity in parts of the country demands that all hands must be on deck to assist the electoral body in providing a conducive atmosphere for a peaceful elections.

While commending the Council of the Wise for its immense contribution towards attainment of free, fair and violence-free elections since 2015, the IPAC Chairman appealed to Democratic institutions both local and international to remain steadfast in their commitment to the democracy project in Nigeria.

He disclosed that IPAC had developed a comprehensive programme of reaching strategic institutions, agencies and key players in the electoral process on the imperative of collective efforts aimed at making the 2023 general election peaceful, transparent and credible.

Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Justice Zainab Adamu Bulkachuwa, said the visit to IPAC, was in furtherance of the mission of the Council in ensuring deepening of democracy in Nigeria.

Justice Zainab Bulkachuwa called on the leadership of IPAC to prevail on its members, the registered political parties, to conduct their affairs according to the electoral laws and guidelines issued by the electoral umpire.
