The Kebbi State Government has procured 500 KVA worth of transformers with a view to improving power supply in the state.

The Special Adviser to the State Governor on Power, Alhaji Yusuf Haruna Rasheed, who disclosed to Radio Nigeria in Birnin Kebbi stated that, power supply was the successful project of the Bagudu led admonistration on inception in 2015.

According to the Special Adviser, before the inception of the administration in 2015, power supply in the state was only for three hours but can now boost of 18 to 24 hours power supply.

Alhaji Yasuf Rasheed, explained that, the transformers would be installed in areas that have power supply problems in  parts of the state.

“Now we have complaints of transformers and the State Governor purchase enough so that we can clear the faulty ones or to be replace”.

He lamented the situation of power supply in Argungu local government area of the state where only forty percent of the area have access to power supply and sixty percent were cut off for over two weeks.

Alhaji Rasheed however called on people in the state to always pay their electricity bill so that they can have power supply in their homes.

He stated that, soon the state Governor would inuagurate the newly procured transformers for distribution to the needed areas in the state.
