Kano Assembly Confirms Another Commissioner

Kano state House of Assembly has screened and confirmed the appointment of Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa as commissioner and member of state executive council.

Aminu was nominated alongside 9 other nominees for the position of commissioners.

It would be recalled that nine of the nominees were screened and confirmed on Monday 22nd August 2022.

While Dr. Aminu Tsanyawa who is the former commissioner for Health resigned his position to contest in the forthcoming general election, was nominated on Monday and invited to appear before Kano state House of Assembly on Tuesday 23rd August 2022 for screening and confirmation.

The new commissioners include: Ibrahim Dan’azumi, Abdulhalim Abdullahi, Lamin Sani-Zawiyya,Ya’u Abdullahi-Yan’shana, Garba Yusuf Abubakar, Dr. Yusuf Jibirin.

Others are Adamu Fanda, Saleh Kausami, Dr Ali Burum Burum and Dr. Aminu Ibrahim Tsanyawa.

However with the confirmation by the state House of Assembly, the state executive council under the leadership of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje would assign portfolios to the new commissioners.

In a similar development, Kano state House of Assembly has adopted the recomittal of the Kano state multi door court house bill, 2021.

Mover of the motion, majority leader of the House, Alhaji Labaran Abdul Madari explained that the recomittal of the bill becomes necessary to make minor corrections in section, 33, 14,19,24, and 44.

Radio Nigeria reports that, the Kano state multidoor court House bill 2021 was passed on 10th August 2022.
