Auto Crashes Increased This Year In Niger State -FRSC

A total of three hundred and thirty four road accidents with two hundred and twelve casualties have been recorded in Niger state this year out of the two thousand one hundred and sixty eight people involved.

Sector Commander Federal Road Safety Corp, Mr Kumar Tsukwam said this when he visited the IBB Pen House Minna of Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ in Minna on an advocacy meeting.

Mr Kumar Tsukwam explained that the auto crashes recorded this year was higher than that of last year as only three hundred and eight auto crashes were recorded last year.

According to him, the causes of auto crashes include tyre bursting, over speeding, use of mobile phone while driving, over loading and wrongful over taking among others.

Mr Kumar Tsukwam however added that in the past one month the rate of fatality due to road accidents have reduced as of the over twenty crashes recorded only one death was recorded.
