Over Sixteen Thousand Children To Be Dewormed In Niger State

Wife of Niger state Governor Dr Amina Abubakar Bello flagging off the deworming of children campaign in Minna.

A Non Governmental Organisation the Biomedical limited in Collaboration with Niger state government plans to deworm sixteeen thousand seven hundred children in the twenty five local government councils free of charge.

So far the projection by the Biomedical limited is to deworm forty five thousand children between the age of two to five in Nigeria.

Regional Sales Manager North Biomedical limited Mr Adams Abdullahi Danjuma announced this at the flagged off of first round of May June twenty twenty two Maternal Newborn and Child Health Week holding in Minna the Niger state capital.

Mr Adams Abdullahi Danjuma said already they have done in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja Oyo and Kwara states and are now in Niger state for the deworming exercise.

According to him as a forward looking pharmaceutical indiginous player in critical care sector there purpose is to discover new method of improving the lives of people in continuetion of its corporate social responsibility as they celebrate their fortieth anniversary.

The Biomedical limited he  however said look forward to partnering with Niger state government in the areas of women development sanitation as well as children and maternal health.

Flagging off the deworming campaign Wife of Niger state Governor Dr Amina Abubakar Bello gave an assurance that the state government will continue to sustain all its health care services arrangements through partnership with relevant agencies and stakeholders for effective service delivery. 

Dr Amina Abubakar Bello stressed the need for women in Niger state to take advantage of free services of Save Motherhood and Vaccination Services in addition to imbibing good and healthy lifestyle for a healthy leaving.

She also called on traditional and relgious leaders as well as Wives of local government councils Chairmen to mobilise women in their areas to ensure the success of this exercise.

State Commissioner of Health Dr Mohammed Makunsidi maintained that the commitment of Niger state government in the eradication of all forms of diseases in the state remain sacrosanct.
