L R The Executive Secretary Jigawa State Contributory Pension Scheme, Alhaji Kamilu Aliyu Musa

The Jigawa State and Local Governments Contributory Pension Scheme Board has paid 1.215 billion naira to 550 retirees for July 2022.

The Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Kamilu Aliyu Musa disclosed this while briefing newsmen on the payment at his office in Dutse the Jigawa state capital.

He explained that the beneficiaries were categorized into four for the payment of their rights.

According to him, the first category is the 411 retired beneficiaries who have retired from the Service which amounted to over a 920,331million naira.

Alhaji Kamilu Aliyu Musa further explained that, the second category of the beneficiaries were those 100 people that have died while in service and would get the total amount of 267, 29 million naira.

The Executive Secretary said the third category of 8 beneficiaries were under the death pension balance, which would get 27, 952 million naira as their entitlement.

The fourth category of beneficiaries are those not in service for up-to five years, the board will refund 8 percent to them amounting to 201,437 thousand naira as their entitlement” he added.

Alhaji Kamilu Aliyu Musa said the Scheme had already paid July Pension to the Pensioners to enable them to celebrate the forthcoming Sallah festivities with joy and happiness.

He also called on the beneficiaries to avoid giving bribes to anybody in the process of collecting their benefit, while urging them to report any staff that ask them for bribes.

The Pension Boss commended Governor  Badaru Abubakar for support to the Board and for releasing the Pensioner’s entitlement at the right time.
