Jigawa State Government says economic diversification remain one of its key areas in the past seven years.

Governor Badaru Abubakar made this known while inaugurating chairman and members of the State Investment Promotion Agency at Government House Dutse, the Jigawa state capital.

He said the state had witnessed tremendous development through agricultural development and the establishment of agro allied processing companies by different investors.

Alhaji Badaru Abubakar therefore reiterated the his administration’s commitment of providing more investment opportunity for investors willing to invest in the state.

Responding, the Chairman of the Agency and the State Deputy Governor, Mallam Umar Namadi represented by his Vice Chairman, Dr Muhammad Sagagi assured to justify the confidence reposed in them.

Radio Nigeria reports that the members of the agency include State Deputy Governor as the Chairman, Dr Muhammad Sagagi Vice Chairman and Hajiya Furera Isma Jumare as Secretary.

Others are Alhaji Abdulkadir Abubakar Maje , Alhaji Aliyu Yusuf Madobi, Profesor Hannatu Sabo, Barrister Suleiman Jahun and Lami Zubairu Babura as members.

The rest are commissioners for Information, Agriculture, Land and Housing, local government and finance.
