NYSC Explains Mobilisation of Corps Members Away from Own State

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has explained that the mobilisation of corps members away from their states of origin is to foster national unity and integration in the country.

The Director General NYSC, Brigedier General Mohammed Fadah, stated this in Bauchi during the swearing-in ceremony of the 2022 Batch B stream I corps members at the permanent orientation camp in Ganjuwa Local Government Area of the state.

Brigadier General Mohammed Fadah Represented by the state co-ordinator Namadi Abubakar explained that the move would not only offer the corps members the opportunity to acquire a better understanding of the country but would also entrench the culture of harmonious relationships with diverse people.

He reminded the corps members that the oath of allegiance taken by them is expected to guide their conduct throughout the service year as well as having a great impact on their lives after service.

The DG called on corps members to be security conscious at all times and report any suspicious characters or activities around them to the appropriate authorities.

Brigadier General Mohammed Fada who appreciated both the federal and state governments as well as security agencies, traditional rulers and all other stakeholders for their utmost support especially, in the areas of security and general welfare of corps members urged them to sustain the tempo.

The Chief Judge of the State Justice Rabi Talatu Unmarried represented by Justice Umar Farouk Sarki of the state High Court administered the oath of allegiance to one thousand eight hundred corps members deployed to the state for the 2022 Batch B stream I orientation exercise.
